Respite Care

This is a service that provides personal support to clients and their families in their caregiving responsibilities. Assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation and activation are provided by qualified workers who are paid directly for their services by the client. Care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What is the cost?

The cost for this service is between $13.00 and $16.00 per hour, with a two hour minimum.

How do I register for this service?

Seniors and adult disabled living within the former City of Nepean boundaries (please see map) may utilize this service. Before any in-home care services can be provided, a home visit must be arranged to ensure that the client's care requirements are matched with the capabilities of an appropriate care giver. The home care assessment usually takes about one hour.
